These Terms of Service govern your use of LIGHTMGROUP platforms, software, and IT services. By accessing or using any of our services, you agree to the following terms.

Account Registration

  • You must provide accurate and complete information.
  • You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure.
  • Any activity performed using your account is your responsibility.

Services Offered

LIGHTMGROUP provides technology and digital services including, but not limited to:

Software development
Website and platform design
Mobile and web applications
System integration
IT solutions and consultancy
Cloud-based business tools
AI-powered platforms
Maintenance and technical support
Hosting and domain assistance
Digital branding and technical services for businesses

The exact services provided depend on the project requested or the subscription you choose.

Service Contracts

  • All projects or paid services require a clear agreement between LIGHTMGROUP and the client.
  • A contract may be written or digital depending on the type of service.
  • Each contract includes scope of work, timeline, cost, and responsibilities.
  • Work begins only after agreement approval and initial payment (if required).
  • Any changes to the project scope must be discussed and approved by both parties.

Payments

  • Payment terms vary depending on the service, subscription, or project.
  • For custom development, payments may be structured as:
    • Upfront deposit
    • Milestone payments
    • Final payment upon completion
  • For subscription services, payments must be made before the service period starts.
  • Clients must provide accurate billing information.
  • LIGHTMGROUP may suspend service for unpaid or overdue invoices.

Refund Policy

  • Subscription payments are non-refundable once a billing cycle has started.
  • Custom project deposits or milestone payments are not refundable after work has begun.
  • Refunds may be considered only if LIGHTMGROUP fails to deliver any agreed-upon work.
  • If a client cancels a project before completion, payments already made will cover the work completed up to that point.

Project Delivery

  • Delivery timelines depend on the complexity of the project.
  • Any delays caused by missing client information, approvals, or responses are not the responsibility of LIGHTMGROUP.
  • Delivered products go through testing and client review before final acceptance.
  • Once approved by the client, the project is considered complete.

Client Responsibilities

Clients agree to:

  • Provide correct information, files, and approvals needed for work.
  • Respond to communication in a reasonable time.
  • Use the delivered software or digital products responsibly.
  • Not misuse LIGHTMGROUP systems or attempt unauthorized access.

Acceptable Use

You agree NOT to:

  • Use our services for illegal, harmful, or abusive purposes.
  • Upload content containing malware or harmful code.
  • Attempt to disrupt, hack, or damage LIGHTMGROUP platforms.
  • Impersonate someone else or provide false identity details.

Intellectual Property

  • LIGHTMGROUP owns all system designs, code, trademarks, and platform materials unless otherwise stated in the contract.
  • For custom software or websites, ownership rights are defined in the project contract.
  • Clients may not resell, copy, or modify LIGHTMGROUP products without permission.

User Content

  • You retain ownership of content you upload to our platforms.
  • You grant LIGHTMGROUP permission to store, process, and use the content as required to provide the service.

Service Availability

  • LIGHTMGROUP aims to provide stable, uninterrupted service.
  • System maintenance, upgrades, or external issues may affect availability.
  • We are not responsible for downtime caused by hosting providers, internet failures, or external attacks.

Limitation of Liability

LIGHTMGROUP is not responsible for:

  • Loss of data
  • Financial loss due to misuse of the system
  • Interruptions or delays in service
  • Damages resulting from client-side errors or external factors

You use our services at your own risk.

Termination

We may suspend or terminate accounts if you:

  • Violate these terms
  • Engage in fraud or misuse
  • Fail to make required payments

You may close your account or cancel services at any time.

Governing Law

These terms follow the laws of Rwanda unless otherwise required by your location.

Agreement
